External bleeding

In case of external bleeding, follow these safety procedures to determine whether to intervene or contact emergency services immediately.

CAPTION

Safety procedures

Clean the affected area with soap and water or with a clean cloth that does not stick to the wound.

Maintain direct pressure on the wound using a clean dressing. In most cases, the pressure will help stop small amounts of bleeding. Once the bleeding has stopped, dress the wound.

In case of severe or prolonged bleeding, alert the emergency services immediately or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
