Safety procedures

Do not move the affected part to reduce pain and inflammation.

Apply ice wrapped in a cloth for about 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours. Cold helps reduce swelling and pain.

Make a bandage that is not too tight to contain the swelling.

Keep the affected area in an elevated position on a pillow to help drain fluids.

If the skin is not irritated and there are no wounds or scratches, you can apply an ointment with an anti-inflammatory effect.
